I love this app bc I’m interested in learning languages and I want to be a doctor, my mother said that doctors need to know many languages such as Latin or others bc many medical words are in Latin or other languages, so this app is perfect for me and I really do recommend this! *there are ads*

If you said learn French free, the whole list of words from A to Z should be, right? Not just certain words

On my iPhone I payed for the upgrade. This app asked me to pay again to use it on my iPod.

I was so excited to learn French and then soooo many words are locked. Like do you want me to be talking to you in French only knowing how to pronounce a portion of my sentence. Just unlocked the phone the other words period.

I think that the app could use a lot of work. Such as explaining the sounds and words but other than that it is a great app

Terrible app. Do not waste time downloading

I had this app in 2016 before we went to Paris in 09/2016. It was great back then. I paid the minimal fee to download the app, and had immediate access to all its topics with no ads and limitations. Recently, I revisited this app for a French language refresher. Now the app has several ads, and you cannot access some of the topics anymore without paying an additional $5. So what will happen 2 years from now? You will limit our access again, and demand for more money?! Sorry, but I do not recommend this app.

I have been using it for about 2-3 minutes, and it's already asking me to pay $5 to upgrade. Also, every time you click a word to see the French word, an add pops up. The bad thing is that the ad pops up as soon as you click the next word, so your finger clicks the ad again, so you then go to google. I would not advise downloading.

Easy to use. Not enough items/categories

This app is a great way to learn how to regurgitate a foreign language & I mean that as a compliment! I prefer the lists over the flash cards by far, & don't even really use the flash cards & couldn't tell you even what's involved with using them to learn. But in list view, this app is in incredible for helping me speak & achieve proper pronunciation, & as an American trying to speak French, a language that has sounds English speakers don't have so have never developed , that's HUGE!!! I'd started relearning french- after 2 semesters in college 20 years ago- using other apps, crawling they dozens before finding one that suited me, including the cost (free) & offering lessons which touched on all the ways I'd need the language while traveling to Paris. But when I got here, here being Paris, I got performance anxiety! They speak soooo fast here, and each sentence runs tiger, sentences run together, a spoken paragraph can sound like one long word. And trying to speak the language? Embarrassing, scary, & totally made me self conscious! And that app had you translate from English- french & french to English or match words, used reading & listening, & a little speaking with voice rec software to compare your attempt to how it should really sound. But *this* app? I wish I'd found it weeks ago!!!! My advice for using is this: use the list view. Listen to the word/ phrase, record yourself saying it, play the provided pronunciation first then immediately play your recording & compare. I do this until I can barely tell the difference between my pronunciation & the sample. It's helped tremendously! Check it out, d'accord? Bon nuit!!!

I was browsing through the language section of the explore section, and I came across this app. I downloaded it because I am learning French. (I have 8 years experience.) This app has pros and cons. First, the pros. 1. Well made: The app itself is very well designed, and the separate sections for each category are nice. 2. Able to record your own audio: When you're in a section, you can record yourself; then test your recording with the actual audio. Which brings me to my next pro… 3. French audio: The sections have an actual French person saying the words, which was a huge plus for me. Now the cons… 1. No articles (La, le, and les.) I think the biggest flaw of this app is that it doesn't have articles with the nouns. My French teacher has stressed and continues to stress that articles are the most important words with the nouns. I agree with her, as articles let you know if the noun is masculine, feminine, or plural; which you need to know if you want to put the correct pronoun, etc. (Such as "mon" or "sa", etc.) 2. Bombarded with "Upgrade to Premium" messages: Malheureusement, (French for "unfortunately"), this was the biggest turn off for me. You have to upgrade to premium to get the full version, which is unfortunate 'cause I liked this app. I had to delete the app soon 'cause I could only access a limited number of sections. I don't spend money on apps, and I never will. Overall, I'm 50/50. If they make a free version (which I doubt) I'll download it again. Until then, 3 stars.

This app is AMAZING but you either have to watch a video or upgrade the app to do a lot of things.

I love this app. It lets me practice and practice my horrible accent without any embarrassment of others listening and correcting. I love the recording feature. That is immensely helpful.
